On April 29 – May 3, 2011 in Trzebinia took place the European Encounter of the Lay Salvatorians. It was an occassion for sharing thoughts and experience as lay Salvatorians and for presenting multimedia presentations on the theme from the countries represented at the meeting.

On May 8th in Bagno took place the VIII Salvatorian Mission Symposium organized by the seminarians of the Major Seminary of the Society. The symposium was entitled “Do not cease to preach the Good News.”

On March 1 Mrs. Mariella D’Angelica, member of the General  Committee of the International Community of the Divine Savior [ICDS], delivered the recently completed statutes of the ICDS to the secretary of Stanisław Cardinal Ryłko, President of the Pontifical Council for the Laity.

The British Pro-province held the second session of its provincial chapter in Wealdstone March 22-24.  Fr. Alex McAllister was elected provincial in the first session of the chapter in January, began his term of office on the first day of the chapter.

The International Historical Commission held its annual meeting in Rome from January 24-February 4 under the direction of Fr. Luis Munilla, Chairperson.  The opening Eucharist was celebrated for two historians who died in the past year: Fr. Antoni Kielbasa of our commission and Sr. An Vandormael of the Mother Mary Study Group. 

The Founder of the Salvatorians entrusted this religious family to the special care of St. Joseph. On March 19th this year, His Eminence Angelo Cardinal Amato visited the tomb of Father Francis of the Cross at the Motherhouse of the Salvatorians in Rome.

Biblical “career” of St. Joseph was brief. Spectacular events, in which he participated, always took place in the shadow of Our Savior, but his role in the life of the Church is enormous. On March 19th this year, the solemnity of Patron Saint of the Society of the Divine Savior, the seminarians of third and fourth years of the Major Seminary in Bagno, became lectors and acolytes.

On March 11-13 this year in Zakrzów near Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, took place the first encounter of the Salvatorian Mission Volunteers on the national level, in which took part about one hundred participants.

Nawiązanie relacji przez słuchanie, dawanie odpowiedzi i życie w komunii z Nim pozwala coraz lepiej poznawać Go osobiście: Jego człowieczeństwo i Boskość, Jego tajemnicę oraz Jego piękno” (Benedykt XVI).
